Your New Year’s resolutions are set at this point and the time has come to make good on them. If you’re having a little trouble getting motivated or need something to amp up your routine, however, Hydrow’s latest update announcement might be just the thing. On Wednesday, Hydrow introduced circuit training to its repertoire of workout options. This means that anyone who owns a Hydrow Rower (which we ranked as one of the top indoor rowing machines) or a Wave Rower can access these workouts through the brand’s membership platform.

Despite what you might be thinking, Hydrow’s circuit-training workouts are not largely about rowing — they’re about strength. You will get great full-body workouts, helping you build the endurance and muscle you need to power you through those long runs, all by incorporating one of the best cardio machines into challenging strength training.

If you’re familiar with Hydrow’s workouts, then you’ll recognize two-time Irish Olympian Peter Donohoe as one of the trainers. They also welcomed a new trainer this year: Rina Thomas, a CrossFit coach and former Marine, has just joined the squad, and will be helping coach members through Hydrow’s circuit training sessions.

“They’re quick, efficient workouts, and the constant variety of exercises keeps them fun and fresh,” Thomas says, adding, “which makes them a perfect tool for turning New Year’s resolutions into long-term habits.” She won’t be the only new trainer for long, either, as Hydrow has plans to welcome in more athletes to coach its users through this new fitness feature.

If you don’t already have a rowing machine from Hydrow, now is as good a time as any to get one. In addition to the circuit-training program, you can also access yoga and various strength-training sessions in addition to rowing workouts through the brand’s membership program — and getting with the program means you can kick off your fitness resolutions like you mean it.
