Controlling your pace on your training runs can be difficult even with a GPS watch. The temptation to speed up on a slow day or take it easy on a hard training day is a pitfall for many runners. That is why your best tool for a great training run is a great set of running partners. Find one fast friend to run with on quality workout days, or days when you are running up, and find a slower training partner for recovery days, when you are running down, to make sure that you are not tempted to speed up.
